The Anne Arundel South County Democratic Club is an activist and social group based in the southern portion of Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Our group is dedicated to advancing progressive policy issues and electing qualified Democratic candidates to office in Maryland. Upcoming 2014 Events
The club is kicking into high gear with election season at hand. Get involved - come to a meeting - help us elect Democrats! Join us!
April 2 - The SoCoDems Environment Committee will present an interactive program "Climate Change: An issue of our own making." Dispelling the myth about climate change, the committee will provide facts and will discuss areas where we can make a difference locally involving political action, neighborhood projects and funding sources. Join us at 7pm for the meeting or 6pm for optional dinner.
May 7 - We'll get an update on the legislative session and then will hear from our Democratic candidates for Delegate in District 30B, Mitchelle Stephenson and Mike McNelly, and our County Executive candidate, George Johnson. This will be a good opportunity get their vision for the future and campaign plans.
Note: We will continue to collect donations
for SCAN and the requested items for this month are peanut butter, jelly and hearty soups. Please bring these to our meeting. Checks are also helpful. We will also collect dues at all meetings - $20/person for 2013.

Maryland Health Connection Info
Maryland residents will be able to shop for medical insurance and enroll in plans through the Maryland Health Connection or through Medicaid. You will be able to do apples-to-apples comparisons between plans and make the right choice for your situation. Click here for the link to Maryland Health Connection to read more.
If you would like to help others better understand their options, you can visit Health Care Access Maryland, a non-profit, that is looking for volunteers who will help them with outreach to ensure all Marylanders understand their options and access the care they need.
