Our group is dedicated to advancing progressive policy issues and electing qualified Democratic candidates to office in Maryland. June 15 - South County Festival at Herrington Harbor North Marina - Stop by the SoCoDems table when you visit the Festival! July 4 - Join us for the Shady Side 4th of July Parade. August 6 - 20th Annual National Night Out event in Shady Side in lieu of a meeting. 6-9pm. Note: We will continue to collect donations for SCAN and the requested items for this month continue to be: canned tuna and canned Meats. Please bring these to our meeting. Checks are also helpful. "Fear Not"Perhaps you are familiar with the "Nuns on the Bus" tour last Fall and Sister Simone Campbell. When asked to comment about the challenges of working on issues facing this new Congress, she elected to speak directly, instead, to the fear that she sees driving too much debate.
