The Anne Arundel South County Democratic Club is an activist and social group based in the southern portion of Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Our group is dedicated to advancing progressive policy issues and electing qualified Democratic candidates to office in Maryland. We welcome visitors and new members anytime throughout the year - please join us at Pirates Cove Restaurant the 1st Wednesday of each month for our regular meetings. Upcoming 2015 Events
Get involved - come to a meeting - help us elect Democrats! Join us!
May 27 - District 30 Club hosting an environmental panel featuring Bob Gallagher and others at Union Jack's in Annapolis. 7pm.
June 3 - Summer picnic in lieu of meeting at the Captain Avery Museum at 1418 E West Shady Side Road in Shady Side. County Executive Steve Schuh will be our speaker and County Councilman Jerry Walker will also attend. Potluck - please bring a dish to share.
June 12 - Steny Hoyer's annual bull roast at Newton White Mansion in Mitchellville. Click here to RSVP. Tickets are $35/$20 for seniors.
July 4 - Shady Side Parade. Join other SOCODems as we continue our annual tradition of participating in the Shady Side Parade at 10am. This is in lieu of a monthly meeting.
August 4 - National Night Out event at the Lula Scott Center in Shady Side at 6pm. This is always a well-attended event with the churches and community members providing a free dinner for attendees. We'll have a booth to share information about the Club. This is in lieu of a monthly meeting.
Note: We will continue to collect donations
for SCAN and the requested items for this month are peanut butter, jelly and hearty soups. Please bring these to our meeting. Checks are also helpful. We will also collect dues at all meetings - $20/person for 2015.

SOCODems & Climate Change
The SoCoDems have formed an Environment Committee to study issues and share pertinent information on the environment and climate change with the club. If you'd like to get involved, please click here to provide your contact info and indicate your interest in the Climate Change Committee.
